Quick Facts

Race date: September 22nd, 2013

  • 1.9 km SWIM
  • 90 km BIKE
  • 21.1 km RUN

Starting: The start for the Team Relay will be at 08.00 am (subject to change)


Cutoff Times

Swim : 1h10 (local time: 09.10 am)

Swim + Bike : 5h05 (local time: 01.05 pm)

Swim + Bike + Run : 8h20 (local time: 04.20 pm)

This is exactly the same race than individual athletes.

Aid Stations

This is the same aid stations than individual athletes.


Your chip

The timing chip is the relay, each team mate must give it before the start of each race.
SWIM: The swimmer takes part in this race with the chip attached to the ankle.
TRANSITION 1: The swimmer gives the chip to the cyclist in the bike park.
BIKE: The cyclist takes part in this race with the chip attached to the ankle.
TRANSITION 2: The cyclist gives the chip in the bike park to the runner.
RUN: The runner takes part in this race with the chip attached to the ankle.

ATTENTION: Only the cyclist has access on the bike park, he must collect the chip after the runner’s arrival to go to the check-out and remove his bike.


Finishline

The swimmer and the cyclist will have a reserved access before the Finishline. So, the team mate can cross the Finishline together.


After Finish

After your race and in the After Finish area, you will receive:
- Your medal
- Your finisher T-Shirt
- One aid station

    About the event

    On September 23, 2012 the second Ironman 70.3 Pays d'Aix will take place on the city of Aix en Provence. The Community of Pays d'Aix, known as a training paradise to many cyclists and triathletes, will host a qualifying race for the Ironman 70.3 World Championship for the second time.
